Split Personality

In my mind I saw this big flower surrounded by other beautiful flowers. I was inspired by Piet Oudolf who designed the garden of Museum Voorlinden. I started with a pallet of different colours as a background. Like a garden designer. And then slowly my garden came alive. 

I felt that not everything is as beautiful as it seems. Out of the darkness comes a snake who wants to disconnect me from my inner self. It’s this hidden mask, the beautiful face where I put myself behind. To hide my true feelings. To satisfy others and afraid to show myself and explain my own needs. Not being honest to myself. From a sense of shame.

We show something different if we’re not feeling comfortable. Playing a game, trusting on early behaviour. Let go of this theatre face and be honest to yourself. Tell people what your true desires are. Don’t be ashamed. Believe in yourself.
